We are thrilled to announce the return of the Robert Wise Legacy Scholarship, now in its second year! This scholarship is a special opportunity where we will provide training and testing to one deserving individual, chosen by our panel of members.
How to Apply:
We invite applicants to submit a detailed explanation, either in writing or typed, explaining why they believe they are worthy of this honor. You may also nominate someone else who you believe could greatly benefit from this opportunity. We are seeking honest, deserving individuals who could make the most of this offer.
Important Details:
– Deadline for Submissions: November 30th
– Chosen Applicant Announcement: First week of December
– Training Deadline: The winner must attend training within 90 days of winning
– Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a clean driving record, meaning no outstanding tickets.

In a special tribute, the chosen applicant will have the option to pass this opportunity on to another individual of their choosing, furthering the spirit of community and generosity that this scholarship embodies.

The ELDT includes Theory covering essential topics such as safety regulations, vehicle operation, and hazard perception. This training is crucial for preparing drivers to operate commercial vehicles safely and effectively on public roads.
3. BTW & SKILLS
Behind The Wheel Training & Skills Exams
Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) training provides hands-on experience, allowing CDL applicants to practice driving a commercial vehicle under an instructor’s supervision. This training includes essential skills such as maneuvering, parking, and safe driving practices to prepare students for real-world driving conditions
The CDL Skills Exam tests a candidate’s ability to operate a commercial vehicle and includes three parts: a pre-trip inspection to check vehicle safety, basic vehicle control maneuvers, and an on-road driving test to assess compliance with traffic laws and safe driving. Passing this exam is essential to obtaining a CDL
